HOW LONG WILL MY ART COMMISSION TAKE TO COMPLETE?
If you decide to go ahead and commission an artwork, the first thing to think about is when does it need to be ready by? Perhaps there is a special birthday coming up or an event that you need the painting to be ready for? So how long does it takes? It all depends on how busy I am but I will try to finish it within a month. A deadline is always useful to work towards.
WHAT IS THE COST?
It obviously depends on many factors such as size and media but I can work with most budgets.
WHAT DO I NEED TO GIVE TO YOU TO DO THE COMMISSION?
Firstly I would recommend talking to me or emailing with me with some photos, size and preferred media. If I am sure I can carry out the commission I will give a guide price and if agreed request a 50% non returnable deposit.
I DON'T LIVE NEAR YOU - DOES THAT MATTER?
No, it does not matter. I can work with good quality photos and will email you with updates so we are both confident the commission is going in the right direction.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?
I have not had any clients yet who have changed their minds but this can happen for whatever reasons. If I have started the work and spent time working on it, understandably, I will have to keep some of the deposit to cover materials and time. But I always strive to work with my clients to get a great result and ensure a satisfied outcome for all.
HOW DO YOU SEND ME THE PICTURE?
You can email or ‘Whats app’ me the picture or pictures. The photos need to be clear and of good quality. I like to work from a selection of photos.
WHAT SHOULD I SUPPLY YOU WITH INORDER TO CREATE THE COMMISSION?
I need good quality images, the required size and media. I am more than happy to look at a ‘Pinterest board’ or a powerpoint of your ideas also. I want to make sure you get a unique artwork.
CAN I VIEW MY COMMISSION AS IT DEVELOPS?
Yes, I email proofs or if local bring over the painting at certain points to make sure you are happy with the way it is proceeding and to see if there are any colours etc that need tweaking.
