Artist’s Description:
Mussini oil paints on linen canvas painting with a Lady with mandarines and Birds.
One day my friends asked me to paint the Girl Gathering Wild Chestnuts.
I also love to pick chestnuts. I don't know why myself. I started working on this topic in early October.
However, the plot of the artwork gradually changed. The chestnuts turned into tangerines and birds flew to the girl.
The artwork is painted by imagination.
The result is a subgect with a young woman cleaning tangerines. The funny birds surround her. She is wearing in a coat of noble red color with a brooch with the image of cute robin.
Here, as in many of my paintings, the influence of the style of the 30s is noticeable: a clear line, local color relationships, even the character and clothes of the model remind that time.
The painting was done in combination of blue colors with red and orange by brush.
