Artist’s Description:
The first inspiration for the beginning of the creation of this female character I got from a beautiful bowl of fruit. The perfection of the fruit and the beauty of the vase gave rise to this character, more precisely, a poetic allegory. A lady sits in a red chair against a blue background and holds a bowl of fruit with both hands. This painting is a metaphor, and therefore it includes a lot of meanings.
Here, as in many of my paintings, the influence of the style of the 30s is noticeable: a clear line, local color relationships, even the character of a «model» remind that time, which I feel very close to me both in spirit and in design.
The artwork was painted with a brush in several layers.
