Artist’s Description:
There are many magnolia trees in Prague. They grow everywhere in the beautiful gardens and parks of the city. In the spring of all the trees they bloom the very first. I paint blooming magnolia maybe every year. So, first I painted my favorite White Magnolia flowers in a more realistic manner, and then I wanted to repeat this theme in the style of art deco. This artwork was done during the period of my interest at the art with more decorative character: the painting as a detail of interior design. In this case, it’s a frieze as a horizontal architectural decoration: elegant white flowers dance in a bright blue sky. The artwork is painted by brush in several layers with attention to detail.
